The client’s request
We were approached by TBC Design, a local signage company, to design and commission a modern dynamic digital LED light system for the new eSports course classroom on behalf of Burnley College.
What we proposed
Together with the college we came up with a design that included the installation of over 40m of WS2811 Digital LED tape along with aluminium extrusion mounted to the ceiling around the perimeter of the classroom. The Digital tape is controlled via a set of Abstract AVR Pixel SPI encoders, which receive their program commands from a ADJ MYDMX wall controller. Finally our programmer spent time with the course principle, to create 16 bespoke DMX scenes for the lighting system within the classroom.
The outcome
The college now has a dynamic digital lighting system for the 21st century that fits in with the whole concept and look of the new eSports college course. The new digital LED lighting helps to create the type of modern environment and atmosphere that the students will eventually work and compete within, in the future.
